About Dr. Barnes - Lee

I am a community psychologist who develops partnerships with schools and agencies that desire to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in school-based discipline and juvenile justice decision-making. For over a decade, my former tenure as a juvenile justice practitioner and interdisciplinary scholarship has led to long-standing, positive change. As a Detroit native, I am committed to using my personal experiences and professional expertise to tackle the criminalization of Black and Brown youth. I currently reside in metro Detroit with my supportive husband and adorable son.
